“May it be this or something better.”

This is a prayer I say on repeat. It helps me surrender my desire to the Universe and remain unattached to the outcome.

“But Gabby!” I can hear you thinking. “You told me to think about my desire, envision it, feel its vibration. Now you want me to let go of it?”

Exactly! I want you to imagine what you want, then loosen your grip. Hold the vision and then let it go.

Deepak Chopra says, “When you’re happy for some reason, you’re still in misery—because that reason can be taken from you tomorrow.”

Deepak’s words remind me that when we focus on what we think we need, it weakens our connection to the Universe.

Rather than focusing on certain circumstances or accomplishments or objects, practice letting go.

Surrender the Desire

Logic, fear and limitation cut off our connection to creative possibilities and Universal guidance. Once we surrender our desire, miracles become natural. In this week’s episode I’ll teach you how to stay committed to your desires even when they haven’t happened yet.

Dear Gabby episode 116- stay committed to your desires

This prayer—May it be this or something better—can help all of us stay committed while also remaining unattached to the outcome, the timeline, the way we think something should be.

So if you’re not getting what you want right now, if you’re questioning your manifesting powers, listen to this episode of the Dear Gabby podcast.

In this episode, you’ll learn:

  • How to let go of the outcome: Have the vision, then let it go. This is the secret to staying unattached to the outcome. It’s the key to repeating that prayer of “this or something better” and actually meaning it.
  • Why making another commitment is key: Doing something is how you can show up for your dream right away. It’s an incredible way to support your desires energetically, which in turn allows the Universe to show up and catch up with your dreams.
  • Why staying joyful is a game-changer: One thing people often get wrong is they think they can’t feel joy and excitement around their desire until it’s perfectly manifested. But the more excited you get about the possibility of fulfilling your desire, the more you’ll clear the path for the Universe to deliver.

I realize these principles can be tough to follow when something you want isn’t working out.

When you’re in the depths of disappointment, I know how tempting it can be to roll your eyes when someone like me starts talking about how you have to surrender, let go and trust that there’s a plan better than your own.

But here’s the truth: Letting go doesn’t mean giving up on your dreams or aspirations. It simply means releasing your attachment to the outcome. When you practice patience and surrender, you allow the Universe to do for you what you can’t do for yourself.

So if you’re not getting what you want right now, and if you’re questioning your manifesting powers, listen to this week’s episode.

Consider it the first step in showing up for your dream today.
