how to start manifesting
This episode of the Dear Gabby podcast will teach you how to start manifesting. It’s perfect to listen to before the new year—or really any time you need a manifesting jumpstart.
But first, let’s take a trip down memory lane.
It’s 2019, and I’m getting ready to release my book Super Attractor.
Weeks before the book comes out, I give a live talk in New York City. The audience is all people who preordered the book. They’re ready to Super Attract!
I’m wearing my angel-wing skirt; I’m feeling super high-vibe, and I’m ready to get real about manifesting.

“The only way that you can align your energy to be a magnet for what you desire … is to clean up the crap behind that desire,” I say. “Today I’m going to give you a manifesting jumpstart.”
I’m sharing that whole talk on the Dear Gabby podcast today! In this episode, you’ll learn the 6 steps you can take to prepare yourself to become a Super Attractor.
I’m so psyched to teach you how to start manifesting today. I’ll even give you CliffsNotes on the talk below.
how to start manifesting in 6 steps
Step 1
slow down
You know how some stories get stuck in your head on a loop? The loop might be a chorus of I’m not good enough or No one is going to listen to me. Whatever your limiting story is, get clear on it now. Next time you hear that loop playing in your head, say this out loud to yourself: Slow down, sister! (Or you can say Slow, down brother, or Slow down, whatever your name is … You get the drift.) This will stop the limiting story from taking on more energetic momentum. And it will allow you to shift your focus onto something else.
Step 2
feel into your feelings
Ask yourself this question: What do I need to feel right now? This will allow you to honor the root-cause feeling of the loop I mentioned in step 1. Maybe you need to feel sadness or anger or grief. That’s okay! Don’t push any emotion away, even if it feels negative. Whatever it is that you need to feel, lean into that feeling for 90 seconds. Breathe into that feeling … and then release it. Exhale the emotion by powerfully breathing out, from your navel through your mouth.
Step 3
celebrate what’s thriving in your life
Make this your mantra: I am worthy of feeling good. It’s good to feel good! In the moments when you’re feeling good, celebrate it—and reach for more. Give yourself permission to let go of any drama, be in the moment and just have some fun. This talk will help you. I didn’t wear a wing on my skirt to NOT have fun with whoever listens to this.
Step 4
visualize feeling good
When we let ourselves feel good, those feelings lead us to visions—and those visions start to create our reality. This is how to start manifesting! Visualize the outcome you desire, get playful with your dreams, and keep on having fun.
Step 5
let go and receive
Sometimes we want something so badly that we end up feeling more lack than love. We focus on the fact that we don’t have the thing in our lives yet, and that actually blocks our manifestations.
So I hereby give you permission to let things go! That’s right, just ignore them. Instead of focusing on the fact that your job doesn’t pay you enough, for instance, focus on enjoying the work you do. If your back hurts, see your doctor, get your diagnosis and follow your doctor’s orders—and then ignore that back pain as much as possible. Abraham-Hicks say, “When we focus on illness, we are ill. When we focus on wellness, we are well.”
Step 6
meditate
The final step is to meditate. Meditate, meditate, meditate! Super Attractor is a book about tuning in. When you meditate and go within, clear direction is given and visions are gifted to you. I often get more business ideas when I’m meditating than when I’m sitting in meetings.
You are always being guided. The more fun you have, the more guidance you will receive.
