And today's episode's a really great way to warm you up for the challenge because it's gonna get you out of fixing mode and into aligned receiving mode.

So you're ready to step into the challenge. [00:02:00] Super activated. Okay, let's try a little experiment this new year, ditch your resolutions and set positive intentions instead. This is super powerful. Because think about it, new Year's resolutions don't work because they actually make you feel like there's something you have to fix.

In fact, 80% of people fall off their New Year's resolutions before the end of February. And so instead of setting yourself up for failure, let's set ourselves up to win. In this episode, we're gonna set positive intentions instead, and this is the difference between forcing change and effortlessly receiving the shifts that you desire.

This is about setting intentions. It's about helping yourself focus on what you want to create instead of what you wanna fix. Here's the truth. Resolutions almost always fail because they come from the ego. They come from that part of us that's saying, I'm not enough. I need to fix myself. I need to force this change.

But that [00:03:00] energy is really tight. It's kind of anxious. It can be really controlling. And as we all know, that is not the energy of a super attractor. True manifestation. And that effortless kind of manifestation comes from alignment. It comes from clarity, it comes from confidence and joy and that calm energy.

So this five step guide is designed to get you out of your head and into that aligned magnetic state. I want you to stick around to the end because after I share the five steps, I'm also gonna answer some of the most common questions that I get about setting intentions. And I'm gonna address all those little blocks that stop you before you even start.

So let's jump in. Here's your five step guide to manifesting in the new Year effortlessly. Step one, the mindset reframe. This is the most important step because you actually have to stop trying to fix yourself. I want you all to take a deep breath right now. You have nothing to fix. It's about intending to feel good.

Reframe that for yourself right now. It's so major. Your only [00:04:00] goal is to cultivate this state of being that feels better inside. When you feel that energy of joy inside or that abundance inside, you create more abundance. If you feel that joyful energy inside you create more joy. So your reframe here is, my intention is not to get things, but to feel the way I want to feel.

We can't create a new future without being honest about the present, but we're not gonna dwell in all the things that went wrong. This is just a quick audit. So I want you to ask yourself two questions. Where did I feel most aligned and joyful this past year? And let's do more of that. For me, it was cooking with my kid, [00:05:00] playing soccer with my kid, all the things I did with my kid.

Number two, where did I feel most resistant and out of whack? Let's get curious about that one. For me, it was actually, uh, in some of my work relationships, I was feeling a lot of resistance that I had to heal my part in the situation. And this isn't about judgment. You're just noticing, oh, okay. That felt great when I was doing my morning walks, or I felt really terrible when I was saying yes to things I didn't wanna do.

This is a powerful practice of just taking an audit of what wasn't working in the past year and what was working in the past year, so you can start to create more of what you want in the year ahead. Step three, define your desired feelings. A major secret to manifesting is to define your desired feelings.

This is where we build our new compass for 2026. Forget about losing 10 pounds or getting that promotion. What is the feeling underneath the goal? Do you wanna feel vibrant? Do you wanna feel abundant? Do you wanna [00:06:00] feel love connected, peaceful? What do you wanna feel? Reflect right now on the desired feeling and recognize that that desired feeling is your guide.

So from now on, I want you to spot check in the moment, does this action make me feel vibrant or abundant or loved? Whatever it is that you're trying to create, does this action make me feel like my desired feeling? And if the answer is no, then it's not the action to take. And if the answer is yes, I feel that feeling in my body, then it is a hell yes.

Pay attention to the core feelings you want to create and ask yourself in the moment, is the action I'm taking aligned with that feeling? Step four, create your aligned intentions. Okay? Now this is where we set intentions. When you use the phrase I am, you're creating aligned intentions so you can look at your desired feelings.

And for each feeling, I want you to write a single I am statement. So it's not gonna be I will or I want, it's I am. [00:07:00] That's very different. If you're feeling as peaceful, your intention is, I am the presence of peace. If you're feeling as abundant. Your intention could be, I am a magnet for financial flow and support.

If your feeling is connected, your intention can be, I am living in deep, loving connection with myself and others. This I am statement is actually rewiring your brain and it sets your energetic standard for the year ahead. So give yourself that permission to use I Am Statements as a powerful spiritual practice for putting your energy into the point of attraction of what you want.

Step five, identify the first inspired action. This is how we make it real, guys. This is how we make it real. An intention without action is just a dream. When we take one small, joyful, inspired action, we're actually setting our dreams in motion. So if your intention is to feel joyful, what is your inspired action to bring more joy into your life?

Or if your intention [00:08:00] is to be abundant, what is your inspired action to bring more abundance into your life? Maybe you go read a book like my friend Lewis Houses, make money easy or you do some kind of practice that's gonna get you back into an energy of abundance. It should feel easy, it should feel good.

This is the first step of effortless manifestation, and that's the guide. It's super practical, it's very powerful, and it's different from that stressful resolution list. I don't want you to get into the place of trying to fix yourself, guys. I want you to recognize there's nothing to fix. You have nothing to fix.

You just have intentions to set. Give yourself the freedom and the desire goal of just shifting your energy into a feeling that you desire. This is what it's about, not about fixing. It's not about a to-do list. It's about allowing yourself to move into a reframe into a new energetic state. But you know what?

It's one thing to set these intentions, but it's completely different to start to practice them in real life. And it's really different when we start getting our everyday momentum [00:09:00] behind these intentions. This five step process is your what, but the daily practice of living it, that's the how. Okay, so now we've gone through these five steps and right about now that little voice inside of you might be that feared doubt. Maybe that skepticism like this isn't really gonna work for me, Gabby. I wanna really come in with some questions right now. So what we're gonna do is a rapid fire q and a. I'm gonna answer some of the biggest blocks that come up when you're setting intentions.

So let's get started. Dear Gabby, what's the point? I fail by February every single year. If you feel like your resolutions are doomed to fail by February every single year, here's the one shift that will break that cycle for good. Shift your focus off of what you have to fix and focus on what it is you want to create.

Creative energy works. Creative energy is free. Creative energy is powered by inspired intentions. Resolutions are backed by needing to fix and control and make something better. [00:14:00] So remember this, release the need to fix. Release the need to change and focus on this creative momentum and shifts that you are welcoming into your life.

This simple reframe that redirect is gonna put your positive energy into the right momentum to actually create the change that you desire in the new year. Remember, resolutions are about fixing something and you've got nothing to fix, my friend. Here's the next question. I have goals in my career, my health and my love life, and I'm already overwhelmed.

What should I do? Take that list of all those goals and next to each goal, write down. I want this because it will make me feel this feeling. And then each one go down the list. I want this desire, I want this change. I want this goal because it will make me feel this desired feeling. And then I want you to review the list and look at the feelings.

Look at the feelings list instead of the goals list, I want you to create a [00:15:00] brand new list. Strike through the resolutions and my desired feelings for the new year are, and just review that list. Then I want you to do whatever it takes to lean into those feelings. Lean into those feelings by taking actions towards those feelings, by focusing on those feelings, and affirming that you are worthy of those feelings.

Release the resolutions. Focus on the feelings. How do I stay motivated, but I'm not seeing results and getting that impact that I desire? If you're feeling impatient because you're not getting the results that you desire, you actually might be looking for the wrong results. Sometimes when we're so fixated on the thing that we need to get, the thing that we need to attract the thing that we think is gonna make us feel better, we're actually missing the miracle.

We're actually missing the real result, the real thing that is of our highest good. So I want you to take that desire of the result that you're strangling, the thing that you're holding onto, and I want you to actually shift from the [00:16:00] desired thing to what is of the highest good for all. You're gonna give it away and you're gonna say, thank you universe for revealing to me what is of the highest good for all.

It's this core desire, it's this or something better. Give me what is of the highest good for all. It's this or something better. Take that desire, let it off the hook. Get it off your chest. Because if you're holding onto it and you're strangling it, you're actually missing the other possibilities. You're missing the miracle moment.

You're missing the actual manifestation that is meant for you. So. You can hold that desire, but make sure you say it's this or something better. And then here's a big one. This one I get a lot. What do I do if I had a bad day and I fell off all of my desired feelings and I'm not in that momentum anymore.

I ate a big cookie. I skipped the gym, I messed up. What do I do? The thing that you avoided, the moment that you fell off, it's a form of protection. It's a part of you that feels like this is too good to be true. Or who am I to actually get into shape? Or who am I to? [00:17:00] Eat that well, or maybe I just had a bad day and I just wanna numb out.

This is guidance. When we fall off track with our desired shifts that we wanna create in our life, it's guidance. It's guidance that a protection mechanism has come to the surface. It's saying. You know what? I gotta just lean back into that old pattern because something got triggered or I fell off because I didn't feel like I was worthy of actually experiencing that change I want.

So instead of judging yourself, I want you to be really compassionate towards yourself. I want you to focus that attention inside and get curious about the part of you that fell off. Get curious about that part of you that picked up the cookie or picked up the drink or missed the gym, and ask some questions inside.

What do you notice about it? Does it want you to know? And then offer some compassion to it and ask the part of you, what do you need? What do you need right now? And listen, because that part of you might say, I need to be less rigid, or I need [00:18:00] to feel safer. I need to get a therapy session going. Listen to what it needs, and then notice the shift inside the shift from judging yourself and attacking yourself for falling off.

Can change into a place of compassion and connection and clarity of what actually needs to be revealed, the healing that you desire, the feeling that you want to serve inside, stop judging yourself and start checking in with that feeling. I wanna take you a little deeper into the idea of aligned and intention.

There's a teaching from a past workshop that fits perfectly with what we're talking about today. It's one of those reminders that lands differently every single time I hear it. And so let's just drop in for a moment and listen to this. So I wanted to begin by asking yourself, what do you wanna co-create this new year?

What is it that you, when I say co-create, we're always working in tandem with the energy of the universe. What do you wanna vision? What do you wanna dream? What do you wanna experience this new [00:19:00] year? Maybe you write that down in your journal right now. Maybe you put it away and you write about it later.

And you know, really thinking thoroughly like what is it that I wanna call into my life this new year? Is it a new. New way of perceiving my experiences. Is it more abundance? Is it a relationship? Is it health and wellness? Is it ease with a new job? Whatever it is, what is it that you want? And claim it really unapologetically claim it.

And then the next step is really just to do whatever it takes to get into the receiving mode. And that receiving mode is when we feel receptive, when we feel aligned with high vibrational thoughts, feelings, emotions. When we feel connected to a power greater than ourselves, when we feel a positive flow of wellbeing.

And so you can get back into that receiving mode simply by thinking about something that brings you joy. Sometimes moving your body can get you back into the receiving mode. So sometimes I walk, I've been walking five miles, and those five mile walks just get me out of my stories and I just start to [00:20:00] feel the air on my face and the my body's movement and everything just flowing.

Sometimes if you play a song that's like a nostalgic or uplifting song that really moves you deeply, that can really get you back into the receiving mode, simply just doing anything that makes you feel good, gets you back into the receiving mode. And when you feel good, you have no resistance. And when you have no resistance, you are receiving, and I've said this over and over again, as I quote Abraham, in the absence of resistance you are receiving, and I've quoted this as my own, in the absence of resistance, you are a super attractor.

You start to become a magnet for what you desire in that receiving mode. Your thoughts are turning into things and if you care about how you feel and you receive an idea about something, when you get an impulse from that place, from that positive idea. Then your receiving mode is really in full effect.

So if you are paying attention and caring for how you feel on a day-to-day basis, and then a new idea comes [00:21:00] to you, you can know that that new idea is being backed with a tremendous amount of energy because you're positive energy and vibration and thoughts are. Putting you into the receiving mode. So at that point, I want you to pay attention to all the things that begin to unfold in front of you and how easy everything can be.

And I think about this a lot, you know, just coming into the studio today to record this, I came in, I'm like, oh my God, everything's so high vibe and I'm feeling good as I record this audio that I know you will feel good as well. So. Being in this receiving mode right now, I know it's having a ripple effect and it's supporting you.

And so when you are in the receiving mode, any action or thought or desire that you send out into the world from that stance will be positively reinforced by the universe and it will be miraculous. And if you're in a negative mode and follow impulses from that stand, so that vibration, it can be a mess.

It can be really messy. And you know that I see this for myself when I'm in a place of like, it's [00:22:00] not working, everything's crazy, everything's, and I take an action from that place. I mean, excuse my French, but I just, I, IF things up. I screw things up because I, I'm in that bad vibration, that low vibration and taking any action from that low vibration.

Doesn't work. And so I have enough awareness now to say, okay, girl, take a step back. Go breathe. Go for a walk, talk this through. Do anything to get back into the receptive positive vibration so that you can then take an action from an impulse that feels good, and follow that impulse from a place of feeling good so that you're broadcasting what you want and then therefore receiving what you want.

And so I want you to really start to think about what energy are you in when you're following an impulse or a desire. And if you're in an energy of lack or uh, discomfort or a feeling of not being good enough and you're taking an action from that place, oh, you gotta know it ain't gonna work. Okay? So let's be real right now.

And good feeling thoughts turn into wonderful [00:23:00] experiences. And when we have bad feeling thoughts, they can turn into. Not so good experiences. So let's just, you know, I'm just gonna continue to reiterate the truth of what this message is, and it's really, of course, natural to be upset. I'm not suggesting that you don't have experiences that are upsetting or just are uncomfortable, but the question is, how long are you gonna stay there?

And the more you expect negativity, the more negativity you're gonna get. So. You have the power to choose again, you have the power to think your way out. You have the power to move through discomfort, even from a better vibrational stance. So if you're going through a tough time right now, maybe you think your way into it in a different way, which I'm gonna get to that exercise in a moment.

But maybe you go through that tough time with a higher vibration than you would otherwise. That's an option. And when you reach for a better feeling thought, you get into a positive receiving mode. So remember the tool that I've given you over and over again about going general. This is something I've talked about in a lot of my workshops.

It's a Abraham tool, which is all about reaching for the next best thought. So imagine you are [00:24:00] going through a tough time financially, and your mantra every day is, I am not making money. I'm not making money. I can't make money, I can't make money. If you start to, we've said this over and over, so I wanna continue to reiterate this, but if you begin to just slowly reach for the thoughts that feel more empowering to you, you get closer and closer to attracting that abundance that you desire.

So for instance, I'm not making money. I'm not making money. What's the next best thought you'd ask yourself? The next best thought is, I can pay my bills this month. That's enough. The next best thought is I have food on the table. The next best thought is I have the awareness of the law of attraction. The next best thought is when I practice the law of attraction, more of what I want comes to me.

And then the next best thought is when I'm seeing what comes to me, I can create more of it because my positive energy creates what I desire. So you can slowly. And proactively reach for general better feeling thoughts to get you out of the negative receiving mode and into a positive receiving mode, and really more importantly, out of a negative broadcast [00:25:00] into more of a positive broadcast.

And then the more wonderful your life will be. More wonderful your life is the more you will be able to offer others, and that's truly a ripple effect. I'm feeling that right now in this moment, feeling super high vibe, feeling really connected, feeling very positive about the decaf latte I had when I showed up here.

Feeling really good about the weather, you know, just all is well, and I know that that energy is having a ripple effect through this audio recording now. I know it is. I know you're out there being like, yeah, Gabby. It feels really good. So your ability to receive is gonna be measured by how much you practice.

Good feeling thoughts, period. I'm gonna repeat that. Your ability to receive is gonna be measured by how much you practice. Good feeling, thoughts. And so this is what we wanna get into. Positive expectation, practicing positive expectation. So oftentimes we wanna control our circumstances, and in this instance, I want you to start to let that control that you seek [00:26:00] be only about controlling your own positive expectation.

If you control your positive expectation, you can control your point of attraction. So when you control your broadcast, you can control your receptivity and the universe is gonna cooperate with you. So really just starting to recognize that we can't, you know, often say we can't control our life. We can't control life, eh, you know, you kind of can in some ways have a tremendous amount of power of the direction of your life when you begin to consciously and proactively pay close attention to the broadcast, to the energy, to the feelings that you have.

And when you do that, you know that you are definitely proactively. Influencing the course of your life. The next step into really just being in this receptive mode and really reinforcing that we can have a stance of positive expectation is to do a practice that I'm writing [00:27:00] about in my book, super Attractor.

And it's do nothing and let the universe show you what to do in the practice. This is really a practice of non interference. It's a really crucial practice, and so when we live as a super attractor, we can attract so much more into our life when we get out of the way, and Abraham Hicks calls this The art of Allowing, and Abraham says, ask, and it is given.

The universe is always answering your desires. You'll always have a point of focus and a desire, and everything in the universe is really selfishly oriented, is what Abraham teaches. So you choose a preference, whether you say it out loud or not. You've chosen a preference. If you feel it, if you think it, if you say it, whatever it is, it's a desire.

You've chosen that preference, and in that moment, you feel or think a desire. The universe is coming forth. The universe is like, I am here. I've got your back. Let's go. And everything begins to come to you. And that's why it's so important to always turn your full attention to what you want. So you are an extension of the [00:28:00] universal energy.

Feel that extension of energy moving through. You pay attention to the way you feel when you are in alignment with the universe and when you allow that. Fullness of joy and that fullness of flow to move through you, then you know that you are aligned with the universe and then everything else in your life begins to flow.

And so let's take a moment, I've done this in some of my books, is I want you to describe for yourself, and this may change as you start to practice this different times in your life, what does it feel like to be in alignment? And often people will describe it as joy or enthusiasm or love. Or freedom. And then once you think about what does it feel like when you're in resistance to that alignment with the universe, and that can be aggravated or sad or disappointed, it can be blaming, judging, guilty, depressed.

And so the emotions are a direct reflection of how aligned you are with the universe. So you can always check in, even if you're not really conscious of the thoughts that you're thinking, but you feel funky, you can [00:29:00] immediately know. I'm out of alignment. Whereas when I sat down today and I'm like, I'm feeling good.

I like my latte. I am in alignment. And it's the simplest things that can put us into alignment. It can be that delicious latte. When I went to go get that latte, I was chatting with the girl at the front desk and she was telling me very openly about how she had one year of sobriety and it was like this beautiful high vibe conversation.

And these little moments can just put us right into alignment. It's really simple. So when you pay attention to your emotions, then you can always know how aligned you are with the universe. Right now, I know I'm aligned. Maybe yesterday when something funky was going on, I was out of alignment and it's okay to go in and out, but it's how quickly you come back.

Abraham says, when you say, I really don't want that, you're actually holding yourself in vibrational harmony with what you don't want. So find a way to hold yourself in vibrational harmony with the wellbeing that is your natural state. And so I want you to really start to practice some of these tools on how to train that [00:34:00] positive expectation. How do we train that positive expectation? Well, once we get into alignment with the universe, we wanna stay there, right? That's where we wanna stay, but it's easy for us to get back into negative thoughts at all times.

Anything can take you out. The news can take you out. Someone else's negative story can take you out. Your own neuroses, your addictive patterns, whatever it is that just takes you out and we can remember that it's actually really easy to get back into alignment. Use that same feeling of ease to stay in alignment.

So one way to get back into alignment is remembering how easy it is to get back. Oh, I can choose a general thought. I can listen to a song, I can call a friend that really empowers me. I can focus on how much I love my latte. Literally, like I can just truly enjoy my latte. And once we get used to and acknowledge this positive energy that we really have the power to attract into our life and feel and that way of being.[00:35:00] 

We can still be in alignment while even dealing or discussing with subjects that aren't really in alignment. So this is really important when you get into the practice of feeling good. You know what it feels like to feel good, you'll be in such a positive, high vibrational stance that you can even discuss challenging subjects and not move back into it.

You can even address an issue at work. And not let it lower your vibration. You can even be in the presence of a spouse or a coworker that's in a negative out of alignment state and not let it take you down, not let it mess with your mojo. And you know, when it comes to other people, we have to realize we are not responsible for what other people are doing.

We are not responsible for their wellbeing, we are not responsible for their happiness. And when we really get that, that it's only our vibration that we can control, then. We will be helping them because the more that we [00:36:00] focus on our positive feeling vibration, the more we elevate them. And so that's it.

That's the best thing we can do. The best thing, and the kindest thing you can do for others is to feel good in your own world. And so people think that sometimes some subjects are easier when it comes to manifesting. So I wanna really address this because you may have a desire right now and you're like, okay, I have this desire, but it just feels so far reaching and I don't know how I'm gonna possibly get this desire.

When I announced that I was pregnant, you know, there was a lot of women out there that I think were trying to conceive, and they heard my story of how I was trying to conceive, and I think they commiserated and they saw that, and they were like, oh, thank you. I'm not alone. And I'm so glad that I was a source of compassion for anyone that was going through that.

But then I started to get a lot of message from people saying, this isn't happening. It's not happening for me. It's not happening for me. And the thing that I would always respond was. What is the best feeling thought you can reach for right now? Because I truly believe that my conception journey had to teach me about the importance and the value of being in vibrational alignment.

Anything that we wanna [00:37:00] attract will have to be coming from a place of receptivity. And thinking particularly about conceiving has to come from a place of receptivity, a supple place of receptivity. And so the more general your approach to the subject, the easier it is to get back into alignment. So whatever your point of desire is right now, I want you to reach for general thoughts.

Just as soon as this audio's over, I want you just, or you can pause it right now and just go general. Just go for those thoughts that feel good, that are simple and easy, and just subjects that make you feel good. And if you're more specific, at first, it can feel like an uphill battle. So if you're like, I'm single, I'm single, I'm single, and you're like, I'm in a relationship that is gonna feel uphill for you.

It's not gonna feel like it's coming to you with ease. But you could say something instead, like, I have awesome apps that I can turn to, or My friends are introducing me to new people. Or I have all these great examples of how people have met and fallen in love. Or a simple thought would be, when I feel good, I'm attractive.

That's it. That's good. You got it. [00:38:00] Once you're in that energy of alignment. You've trained your system to be more specific about what you want, and then things begin to come to you more easily and more effectively. And so it's really getting into the habit of positive expectation and allowing, really getting into the habit.

And you also wanna be clear, you wanna start to get clear and clearer so you can start off with that sort of easy approach and then get clearer and clearer. And this is where your real power lies and the universe is prepared and really wants you to be in alignment. So it's all about being optimistic.

So here's a big one. Stop complaining. People quit complaining. Please stop worrying and stop letting pessimism get in your way. And so that might sound easier said than done if it's an addictive pattern for you. But let me tell you something, the more you complain about what you don't want, the more you get what you don't want, the more you worry about what you don't want, the more you get what you don't want.

Worry is a prayer for chaos. As I always say, the more pessimistic you are, [00:39:00] the more you get what you don't want. So. Do your best to catch yourself in those moments of worry or complaint. There was something interesting that happened to me the other day. What was it? I was about to open my mouth and start talking about something.

Oh yeah, this was great. Uh, my husband and I were working on a project at our home and I was about to get into a story about some dramas we were having with the process and at dinner, and I was about to get into it and I was like, nah, I'm just not gonna go there. I literally, like in the middle of a dinner party was like redirecting my thoughts out loud and I was like.

Oh, you know, sorry, I'm changing the subject now because that doesn't feel good. I'm not gonna go there. Let's talk about something else. Wow. This paella is delicious. Like just, just directing my thoughts in a new place. And man, that was powerful. It was such an uplifting moment for me to be so in the positive connection and just saying, I'm not gonna complain.

I'm not gonna worry, I'm not gonna be pessimistic. And it just immediately put me back into a better vibration. Do that work. Be clear about how you want to feel. And the [00:40:00] certainty that you desire something, the more you bring that certainty, the more you bring that positive expectation, the easier it will be to just decide.

I don't wanna feel that way. It's gonna take some training, but it works and it can be done and it's fun. So I don't even wanna put a negative spin on it. It's not, ah, it's a lot of work. Have fun with this process. Enjoy how it feels like it feels good to feel good. So give yourself permission to feel good.

Know that you can't look back and look forward at the same time. That's what Abraham always says. Looking back is gonna always knock you off your alignment, get you out of alignment with the universe, and you can't. Be less than what you are in this vibrational moment. So if you have a story from the past that you keep repurposing, you may wanna really start to look at, well actually, how am I feeling right now?

Like, is this story real for me today? What is up for me in this moment? Because once again, we're vibrational beings and whatever we see or hear, or [00:41:00] sense. Is what we're interpreting on a vibrational level. So you wanna just make sure that you're, you're not going backwards with your vibrations. And so when you walk into a room, your energy is uplifting or it's draining.

You have to really recognize that you have access to that uplifting energy just through the moment that you pivot into that positive energy and that thought. And when you're in that energy of positivity, you become such a magnet for other people to really be elevated in your presence, and you're aligned and you make the room feel good and you make things flow more easily.

People wanna work with you more. They wanna date you more, they wanna connect you more. It's all about where you've set your tuner, what are you broadcasting out, and what are you choosing to receive and what are you personally vibrating?
