  1. Congrats! Great point @ allowing yourself to be in the present moment, enjoying life or enjoying the love in your relationship. And expect miraculous adventures. How wonderful to be surprised by life 🙂

  2. Wonderful Gabby!
I have been married to the Love of My Life for the past 11 years and it was fireworks when we first met and still is all these years later. Married on my 23rd Birthday and we celebrate year 11 very soon 🙂
2 tips I give everyone who is getting married…
    1. Never go to bed upset or angry with one another.
    2. Laugh at something every day together.
I wish you both the very best….it’s bliss…

      1. Relationships by their very nature are meant to be somewhat challenging. Making a commitment to never go to bed angry and to laugh together every day may be difficult some days but 100% doable if one is committed. You may not resolve all conflicts right away but you can put the disagreement ‘on hold’ until tomorrow with an agreement that you will resolve things then. My husband and I have an agreement to NEVER threaten our relationship. Just this one agreement is transformational in our feeling safe and secure to be open and honest.

It makes sense to seriously consider the advice of couples who have happy marriages. Nice to hear you have a blissful marriage after 11 years Yvonne ~ thanks for sharing what works for you : )

  3. Congratulations Gabby! What a romantic place to get engaged. I love what you said about focusing on the picture/content, not the frame.

Also, I loved the sounds of the birds chirping in the background of this video! Lovely.

  4. Firstly Congratulations Gabby!!!
Secondly, I can’t thank you enough for this post. It literally could not have been more perfect timing for me. I have the most amazing relationship with a man I have been with 3 and a half years now. Everyone keeps asking when we will get married, and I keep making up excuses, feeling like there must be something wrong with me for him to have not asked the question. Every now and then I get so upset that we have not got a relationship that is committed at the level of marriage that it consumes me completely. And that is the mental state I have been in for the last week. Your Vlog has been the perfect ‘snap out of it’ I needed.

I love how you say ‘focus on the content and not on the frame’. A perfect way of how to view my relationship. My relationship is amazing, and I love him more than anything. In my eyes we have a near perfect relationship, and focusing on that content, not the frame in which society deems we should be in, is where I’ll keep my focus.
    Thank you so much!

  5. Awesone news – am over the moon for you huge congratulations. (love the birds in the background, their sounds just add to the moment and the news) Lots of love Mary in South Africa

  6. Congratulations, Gabby…I’m happy for you that you’ve found your love. Thanks for all you share with us, I even read a column of yours in a newspaper I found blowing away in downtown Boston….you are spreading such important ideas to us.

  7. Congrats and thank you! I am with who I consider the love of my life. After 5 years I fell into the trap of not focusing on the content but the label of our relationship. Beautiful vlog, thanks for redirecting my focus back on the incredible love there is versus a label.

  8. I am SO happy for you Gabby! Great advice too. We are always learning and growing in relationships. To let go and allow is to be exactly where we are supposed to be and to be present where we are. xxoo!

  9. GABBY!!!! im SO happy because you are wearing the jumped cristina and I got you! that put such a SMILE on my face 🙂
but what put more of a smile is your beautiful engagement! I am SO beyond happy for you, you are glowing 🙂
    all my love!!

  10. Congratulations Gabby! This video is very appropriate for where I’m at right now and a great reminder to take action but also to relax and allow things to unfold, thank you!

  11. I’ve OFTEN said, “I don’t like surprises!” But I’m striking this believe from my vocabulary. Congratulations on your surprise, and to all the ones coming for all of us from the release of our expectations.

  12. Such beautiful news Gabby… congratulations!! It is so very true that the universe has a plan that we can’t even fathom. Unfortunately, we often have a picture of an outcome or something we desire ‘should’ look like, right down to the moment it ‘should’ happen and how it ‘should’ appear… we give it too many restrictions to fit into a perfect little box. If we just release those expectations with love and know that it WILL happen, then the universe will make it show up exactly how and when it is meant to – on its’ schedule, not ours. Thank you for being a perfect example of this. You’re an angel. x

  13. Congrats Gabby on your engagement! I am so happy for you! You are so inspiring and today’s vlog is exactly what I needed. Thank you! xo

  14. Congrats Gabby! I’m so happy for you. And thanks for the great video blog. Always a nice reminder to “LET GO.” I especially loved the part when you talked about letting people show up the way they want to show up and be open to surprises. Thanks for your inspiration and congrats again!

  15. Congratulations, Gabby! That is such wonderful news, and it couldn’t have happened to a more deserving person. Lately, I have been future tripping over career stuff, but this past weekend, I took time for myself to just relax and sink into that feeling fully. Amazingly, a lot has been attracted to me in this last week alone, and I realize that it is because I surrendered my true desires to the universe. You of all people know that is when miracles happen, so thank you for reiterating that today and sharing your happiness with all of us. XOXO

  16. This is such wonderful news, especially after knowing your whole story and everything that the universe has done to lead you to this moment. Congratulations, Gabby and thank you for always sharing your truth with us!!

  17. Congratulations!! I loved the announcement with beautiful landscape for this video 🙂 Your video just showed me how I tried to control a situation with my relationship this weekend. I went so far with the fear & ego instead allowing & being supportive so I could hear what was going on with him. In all situations, I have to continue my practice and learn to come from the core value of any relationship & that is LOVE <3

  18. félicitations on a fantastic future as a mrs!

p.s. i wanted you to stand up in the video so i could see that outré outfit in full bloom! gorgeous!

  19. This is exactly what I needed today! (Clearly the universe DOES know better than I do 😉 ). I’ve been in a place where I’ve been trying to make my life the way I think it’s supposed to be, based on the thoughts of others and society. And now I realize that I just have to be happy and breathe and let go of wanting to control every detail and things will fall where they’re supposed to. Thank you, and best wishes! xo

  20. thanks been feeling this message(/lesson) this week, and mazel tov!!. may u guys have many long years of joy and bliss together.
    that’s right..
when u start today say “today I Welcome something wonderfully unexpected to happen”.
    or something like that

  21. You are going to be the most beautiful bride ever! Inside and out. Congrats Gabby! I am so happy for you all. Also, I really needed this today. Thank you! I love you!!!

  22. Congratulations Gabby!!! Wishing you a lifetime together of continued growth and love!!!

  23. Congratulations! I am so happy for you and love that you talked about your relationship as a Divine Union. Although I am already married I am excited about allowing my marriage to become a true spiritual partnership whereby being together we are a greater force for the evolution of humanity and consciousness. I know this to be true for your union and I bless it. Love to you both, Liza

  24. Congratulations Gabby! Thank you for sharing. I love the phrase ‘future tripping’ and your message to be a creator and be present with what is.

Ok, I’ve notice a tricky part of trusting divine order is when it involves other’s choices that are affecting us. For example, some sticky ones I’ve noticed, “When will my significant other go look for a job?” or “When will this person lose weight, so they can have a shot at a long healthy life? I care about and love them.” or “When will my significant other stop burning through our retirement savings?” or “Had that person not been driving drunk, that accident never would have happened to us.”

It’s far too easy to get caught up and stuck in other’s past/future choices [especially choices that affect us] and yet sometimes it may be essential to get involved. How does someone trust divine order and still know when and where to push, let go, inspire or draw a line as it relates to others? Much love, Natalie

  25. Gabby-

Congrats to you!! What a wonderful experience you allowed yourself to have. I loved that you said “let yourself be surprised” by dropping the control so people can show up the way they want to. It’s such a refreshing thing to remember and practice daily. Thank you. Best wishes to you and your fiance. xo

  26. Congratulations to you and your fiance! I am so happy for you. Thank you for being a continued inspiration and guide to me.

    Hugs from Denver!

  27. “Let go and allow . . .” Words of wisdom.

After my 1st marriage (of 26 years) ended in divorce, several people told me that at 48 years-old I probably would be single for the rest of my life. I knew I wanted to be married again but felt no urgency. I was committed to focusing on my 6 1/2 year-old son, making sure he felt secure and grounded. I was committed to figuring out who I was (I’d been a part of a couple for all of my adult life). I decided to give myself 1 year before I considered dating. About 2 months before the year was up I told my son that I wanted to start dating in the new year (it was mid-December). We had a great discussion and he was completely comfortable with my decision. Two weeks later I met my future husband. He came to do some tree work on my property. I told him that I could see him after the first of the year . . . and the rest is history. We’ve been together 8 years, married 4 years (just had our 4th anniversary last week!). My husband treats me like a queen. He’s younger than me by a few years and gorgeous! All of the qualities my friends believed were not possible especially at my ‘advanced age’. One friend hired him to do tree work for her to ‘check him out’. She had some idea that there must be something wrong with him, he seemed to perfect. Turned out she was right, he is, and he chose me, little miss imperfect and he adores me!

Letting go of the need to control is one thing, letting go of fear, judgement, and other people’s negative beliefs are even more important for me.

Congratulations on your engagement Gabby! A fun way to begin a new chapter in your lives together . . . .

  28. Thank you for this Gabby! You were channeling the message from the Universe, that I needed to hear. I am reminded to just let go when it comes to getting pregnant. I know that I will have a beautiful baby when he/she is ready to come into this world, in his/her time and way. I have been trying to control things a bit too much and want things to happen in a certain way (the way that I think is the “best” way), but I am reminded that my way isn’t necessarily the way that God would do it, and the way He does it, is truly the BEST way which is individually tailored for me and for my Soul growth. Thank you for this message. Congratulations on your engagement! You are glowing!

  29. Congratulations!! What a beautiful story, beautiful video and beautiful message. And it applies to so many parts of our lives, romantic and otherwise. Life is so much more of an adventure when we stop trying to control it.

Wishing you every joy and happiness!

  30. Wow I got some real a-ha’s from this Vlog. I’ve been controlling where I should take my business rather than being guided to where I’m meant be. Thanks Gabby and a big congrats x

  31. Thank you so much! You helped me many times in difficult situations. This topic is also very important for me.
Congratulations! I wish you love and happiness!

  32. Gabby I just wanted to say that I found this video extremely selfless of you. You really thought of your followers and how their reactions would be to your engagement (many probably jealous!), and you brought them to a beautiful place. Thank you!

  33. Congrats girl!!!! And thank u this is what the very thing that I needed to hear right now. My motto for the week will surely be “Let go and be Surprised” the help that I was asking for. Thanks so much and God bless.

  34. Thanks so much for this Gabby! It’s so great to get your lessons each week 🙂 How do you let the universe provide and work manifesting? I feel like I don’t know where to let go and were to put my energy for manifesting. Maybe I should work on manifesting more trust in the Universe… Could you do a Vlog on this? Thanks and Congrats!!

  35. Wonderful news! Congratulations Gabby! 🙂
I can totally attest to your advice this week. I’ve been engaged 4 times and each time was definitely from a place of forcing and happened in just they ways I wanted them to, but, the relationships weren’t right and ultimately I broke each off. Not that I regret those experiences, but they have certainly taught me to be in relationships that feel right, rather than “look right”.
Now, the relationship I’m in is where I can be myself and he can be himself so that we are living in a truthful place, not a staged one!
I wish you both the very happiest, being engaged can be really fun :0)

  36. Hey Gabby!
Just wondering if you had heard about the #CaptionThis movement? You have such amazing and beneficial information to share, it would be fantastic if you could share if with the Deaf/Hard of Hearing Community as well by adding captions to your videos. Here is a link for more #captionthis info! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EgSrZ-s3MTY

What do you think? If you need support/resources on how-to I would be happy to provide info. Thanks and congratulations on your engagement!

  37. Yea, congratulations!

Excellent point about being surprised: if you’re expecting/demanding/wishing & hoping, it’s not a surprise in the truest sense, to be savored.

Lots of love & luck for the wedding planning & marriage!

  38. Hi, Gabby!

I am just now catching up on your vlogs and wanted to say “congratulations” to you on your engagement. I am so happy for you!

  39. A belated congratulations!
What great news and I love your message to let go and stop controlling and let the Universe do it’s thing and surprise you.
I also love that this happened in Paris, such a beautiful city of love and light. Amazing things are products of that city! I was conceived there in October of 1965 when my parents were vacationing there! Wishing you and your fiance all the best.
    with love-

  40. Congratulations! What a great story and such a positive message! On our last visit to Paris, we had a truly inspiring vacation: I was privileged to see and experience Paris anew through my daughter’s eyes, and my wife and I fell in love all over again. It was so inspiring, in fact, that I launched a line of jewelry containing a genuine piece of the Eiffel Tower. Seriously, this is the proverbial “real deal” and available in limited quantities. We just launched our website last week at https://korbella.com; please do check it out. We’re looking forward to sharing this ground-breaking collection with romantics and dreamers all over who wish to “connect” with Paris in a most unique way. We’re thrilled to have created a collection that will enable people to channel the soul of Paris and its romance, wherever and whenever they like. What has been most gratifying is finding so many people that have their own unique stories, dreams, and memories, and being able to give them some physical context, a touchstone, to help capture all those special and precious emotions. Wishing you much happiness. May you always hold Paris in your heart and in your dreams. Paul Michael Bedell

  41. That’s how I want to get engaged… not necessarily location (maybe more like Italy.. haha) but to be in that kind of internal state leading up to it. Actually, I think it’s the only way I’ll get to that point.

  42. I totally came across this by accident, when I saw the huge rock on your finger in the interview with Mastin. It’s like the universe is guiding me to you!! I am exactly like you were before, unable to release control, and I realized this is blocking all the awesome miracles coming my way! I’m 25 and have been dating this man I love for 6 years. It’s in the universe’s hand now! Thank you for this AMAZING post <3 xoxox much love

  43. Gabby,
You mention letting your intentions be clear – did you discuss this with your at that time boyfriend? Did you tell him you’d like to get engaged at one point, or did you leave it completely?

  44. excellent put up, very informative. I ponder why the opposite experts of this sector
do not understand this. You must continue your writing. I am sure, you’ve a
    great readers’ base already!
