How to Make Sleep a Spiritual Practice

Sleep is a spiritual practice, and I take it seriously. I’ve struggled with getting quality sleep in the past. So I know what a difference it makes — for my mind, body and soul — when I’ve had proper rest. Getting a good night’s sleep is an essential part of my wellbeing, so I wanted to share my bedtime ritual with you!

First, let me just take a moment to sing sleep’s praises. You might think you can get by on just a few hours of sleep a night — but you’re missing out! Getting proper rest enhances our ability to learn, problem-solve and embrace the positives in our life. Sleep Helps the Body Recover

Sleep is a spiritual practice, but rest isn’t only good for your spirit. A good night of sleep also helps our bodies recover, so we can start every new day feeling physically strong. You could say that sleep is one of my workout secrets!

All that said, it can still be tough for me to wind down at night. Between work engagements, frequent travel and chasing after an energetic 3-year-old, my mind can start going a million miles a minute. At those times, I need some help switching into chill-Gabby mode for the night.
